So, I've pretty much been a MASSIVE U2 fan for the past 15 years. I've always been excited about the news of impending albums and 'No line on the horizon' was no exception.
Well, lunch break at work rolls around and off I rush to the local music store....there it sits in my handbag waiting for my shift to finish...in my (rather hot ) car I jump and load it in for the trip home...
...in through the doorway I walk to be greeted by my better half who seems rather intrigued when I flash him the CD cover.
"So what's it like?" he asks.
"I don't know," I frown, "it's not the U2 I remember..."

Don't get me wrong, there are some cool songs on there worthy of hitting the repeat button. I just don't know what's happened to their music in the past 10 years. All their new stuff since 'All that you can't leave behind' has kind of, well, sucked .

Maybe it's because I became better acquainted with them in my childhood with 'Achtung Baby' and the like. I don't know...I just can't put my finger on it but they seem to have lost something...
